What Meal-a-Day means to me

Meal a Day has saved my spiritual life. Working closely with projects in Haiti I get to see firsthand the difference resources mean in desperate places. I consider my job/our job to simply be a bridge to resources. And particular in Haiti there is a large “touch and teach” element to what we’re doing.

Bible verse that embodies Meal-a-Day’s work

“The Man Who Helped His Neighbor in Spite of the Difficulties” aka “The Good Samaritan” is the center of the gospel, the message of the Kingdom of God. In certain respects the Kingdom is already a going concern. We needn’t wait for Jesus to “come back” and fix it all. He’s given his people a job to do as best we can under current circumstances: being neighbor/helper to anyone and everyone we meet.
