What Meal-a-Day means to me

“Meal-a-Day finds brethren and sisters from a variety of ecclesia’s working together to share the resources and generosity of our community to those most vulnerable, lacking food, water, education and basic services. Working together to show the love of Christ in a tangible way to the world around us truly brings us together and encourages unity around a worthwhile goal. “

Meal-a-Day makes a difference because

“The adage ‘Preach always and sometimes use words’ embodies how I feel working with Meal-a-Day. Some of us have gifts that do not lend themselves to the pulpit but who grow spiritually working alongside other Brothers and Sisters in a way that challenges them physically and spiritually. While one cannot emphasize the true hope of the gospel enough, there are many ways to share the gospel in word and DEED. Meal-a-Day is an opportunity to share the gospel through the sharing of resources, caring of brethren and sisters and opening the doors to conversations and relationships with those we may not have had the opportunity to know before. As Christ said “you will always have the poor among you” and while we are here on this earth Meal-a-Day gives us an opportunity to collectively work together to help alleviate suffering.”
