Background

Sis. Becky Elliott is a member of the Cambridge Ecclesia in Ontario, Canada. She is a community physiotherapist, working in people’s homes to help restore their strength and mobility following hospitalization. After a serious concussion in 2010, Sis. Becky became involved with Meal-a-Day to help anchor and direct her energies in positive ways. In 2012, she became a Director and feels humbled to be able to help “do good to all men” by facilitating good stewardship with funds and help the 'poorest of the poor' in a culturally sustainable way.

 What Meal-a-Day means to me

“An incredible unique opportunity to serve with fantastic brothers and sisters near and far with a unity purpose. I stand in awe at the generous people and sincere hearts seeking to fill the law of Christ."

 Meal-a-Day makes a difference because

Meal-a-Day touches people in a meaningful, life-sustaining way. The gospel writer Luke records Jesus’ words: “to whom much is given, much is required”. Many of us in North America are blessed with a relative abundance of earthly riches and Meal-a-Day helps fulfill Jesus’ command to care for our neighbours, near and far. We aim to provide an opportunity for people to donate to a charity in confidence, knowing that every project as been diligently and prayerfully vetted for sustainability and authenticity.
